The functional keys serve most functions in command prompt through F1 to F9.

F1-Retype the last command(character by character).

F2-It ask for any character and then retype the last command (character by character)

F3-It retype the command completely instead of character by character.

F4-It delete all characters in the current command by asking a character first.

F5-It retype the command completely but does not recycle.

F6-It types the ^z into current command.

F7-It display a menu list of previously used command.

F8-It retype the command completely but does recycle.

F9-It retype a command completely corresponding to the number in menu list displayed by F7.
