The virus Spread through Facebook Messenger.
If someone shair any video to you in Zip format,do not try to downlaod it or even not click on it,It ca be a virus.
The Security researcher from Trend Micro,Warning the new Cryptocurrency mining bot users,which is spreading by Facebook Messenger and Google Chrome Desktop version. The video under the name "video_xxx.zip",it contains an Autolt executable script,which start execute automatically, when you click on it.The malware infect victim's computer.And download related configuration files from remote command and control server. The Digimine first install the miner.exe file using the CPU power.Beside this the Cryptocurrency miner,also install the Digimine bot ,which an auto start mechanism and launch Chrome with malicious extension,which enable attackers to access the targeting victim's Facebook profile.
The attaker bypass the chrome extension via cammand line.And rhe extension read its configuration from remote server.
The miner s fully control by remote server,and hacker can upgrade their malware and add more sophisticated functionalities.
The first infectin user from South Korea and spreading its activities to Azerbaijan.Ukraine, Philippines, Vietnam.Since the Facebook Messenger is used worldwide,so the chances of spreading this virus is higher over Facebook.
